Project Summary: After a merger, a client was faced with a high priority, high visibility assignment, yet they did not have the staff to manage it. Given the urgency of the project, the client brought in the Beaird Group to implement and manage the process.
Project Detail: Beaird Group responded by scoping the project and developing a detailed project plan. The plan included developing implementation recommendations, establishing time parameters, and determining resource requirements.
After the client approved the plan,
- The Beaird Group Project Leader assembled a team of professionals with varying skill sets to work on the project.
- The team:
- compiled a master baseline (from 26 separate account files)
- assessed the status of 2,700 customer locations and assigned priority codes
- entered the information into a master database
- confirmed contract agreements, service levels, and pricing with incumbent service suppliers
- In areas where our client could service customers as a result of the merger, the project team arranged service switch-outs (400 locations nationally).
- In areas our client could not service, the team obtained bids from potential new suppliers and arranged the appropriate switch-out.
- The team integrated information for new business locations into the client’s customer database.
The project generated $525,000 annual new business for the client and saved the clients existing customers $85,000 annually. |
