Client:  a licensed, professional engineering firm located in the West Loop Gate neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois (40 employees, $5MM annual revenues).

Project Area:  Sales and Marketing

Project Summary:  the Beaird Group provides executive/marketing support to the client.  Specific projects include: 

• Development/management of a bi-weekly internal newsletter (to strengthen existing internal communications for the company)
• Development of project cut sheets
• Assembling a City of  Chicago RFQ document (completing city forms on company projects and personnel)
• Development of sales PowerPoint presentations
• Back-office process documentation

Project Detail:  Deb Beaird met the owner of the company at an executive networking session.  Both companies share a similar history (growing much faster than resources can support).  The client did not have the adequate resources to respond to marketing-related activities that were definitely needed.   Not wanting to hire a full-time employee, they looked to the Beaird Group to provide the skills that they currently did not have on their team.

Accolades:  The original contract with the client was for a three (3) week time period.  Not sure how they wanted to work with the Beaird Group they felt this was a proper arrangement.  Since the original commitment, the contract has been renewed an additional three times (and it looks like they will continue to do so for the summer).  They are certainly seeing the benefits of having an additional resource on their team…to help out with whatever projects come up (even if they weren’t originally identified when the Beaird Group was brought on board).
